About the event
Two events in one on Saturday 10 September.
Cheshire Archives and Local Studies is housed in a large historic warehouse building used in the 19th Century as a furniture depot for Browns of Chester. It was converted in the 1980's for the safekeeping of Cheshire's recorded history. Join a tour and talk at 11:00, 12:00 or 14:00 to learn more.
The 'Astounding Inventions' exhibition showcases the brilliant scientists of the Cheshire chemical industry, innovations in photography, and pioneering amateur Cheshire photographers. Pop-in between 10:30 and 15:30 to browse the exhibition.
Booking to join a tour is essential, as numbers are restricted. Please phone Cheshire Archives on 01244 972574 when booking opens on 2 August at 11:00. Booking will close on 9 September at 15:30.
The exhibition is fully accessible. The behind-the-scenes tours are partially accessible: alternate arrangements can be made with advance notice.
