About the event
The Chester Millennium Festival Trail was laid down in 2000 with markers set in the pavement along the route. Learn more about the trail in this film. Then download a copy here, or purchase a copy from the Visitor Information Centre in Town Hall Square, where the trail begins.
The Visitor Information Centre has a series of friendly trails, written and illustrated during lockdown, to give visitors and residents the opportunity to explore the city from several different aspects. They include the Chester Heritage Festival Trail, which can be downloaded here. The full series of trails are available at the Visitor Information Centre, at £1 each.
Blacon History Group's guide, Blacon History Trails, consists of four trails which cover the whole Blacon community. Each trail is colour coded on the trail map with historic sites numbered and supported by a brief text. Download the guide from the Blacon History Group website or collect a copy from Blacon Library.
Cheshire Archives and Local Studies has produced an audio tour using voices from their collection. More details of this are given here.
