About the event
Take a virtual walk along the old Chester Canal. The route takes you from Cow Lane Bridge, past the Steam Mill to the Leadworks and through some of the immediate hinterland. Discover the past industrial development that once dominated this area. See how many of the old industrial and warehousing buildings have been imaginatively refurbished and re-purposed to meet the residential, leisure and commercial needs of the 21st Century.

This 16-minute film follows on from the recent publication “Chester at Work” by Stewart Shuttleworth and Stanley C. Jenkins (2019). It is scripted and narrated by Stewart and introduced, filmed and edited by Ian Lawrence.
