About the Event
Come and discover what the archaeologists found under the grass of Grosvenor Park during this year’s excavation.
Excavations have been taking place since 2007 and each year adds new information about the development of this area of the city since Roman times, the people who lived and worked here and the events that have shaped our life today. There will be a display of finds from the excavation and you will be able to find out what happens each year after the trench has been filled in, what objects have been found and what they tell us about life in the past.
The Grosvenor Park student archaeological training excavation is a partnership project between West Cheshire Museums and the University of Chester and takes place annually in April/May.
This is a free drop in event.
Unfortunately the Digital on Tour van will not be on site today as advertised.
