About the Chester Heritage Festival
Chester Heritage Festival takes place each year, and in 2025 will be in its tenth year! Celebrating the rich history of the city and its people, from Roman times to the present day, there will be a jam-packed series of walks, talks, workshops, performances and more!
In 2024 a programme specifically for young people was launched and included events such as Roman zumba in the Amphitheatre and crafting sessions in Chester Cathedral.
We're also introducing more events throughout the year, and in 2024 with our partner Picturehouse, debuted the Summer Celebration, a day packed with family activities, music, art and film.
As the festival continues to grow, please keep up to date with the programme here at chesterheritagefestival.co.uk, sign up to our newsletter and follow us @chesterherifest on most major social media platforms.
Thank you to our dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who make the festival possible, along with all our partner organisations, and of course everyone who has taken part. We'd also like to thank Julie Littler for the use of her fantastic artwork.
Whether resident or visitor, in person or online, we hope you will find something of interest as Chester Heritage Festival continues to tell the stories that have accumulated over two millennia.
