About the event
Come and explore Chester’s unique and centuries-old (so very much long-standing) Rows.
Join Paul Hyde (former Heritage Interpretation Officer for Chester) with his trusty six-foot duster to navigate some of
the city’s familiar Row streets but also its less-used Row walkways. Also, discover areas where the Rows have been lost (in Stuart and Georgian times) but where clues remain to their one-time existence. Paul will also be pointing the duster to explain the key features of these remarkable structures and celebrate how they continue to help make Chester look and feel so very special.
The tour is scheduled to start promptly at 10:30. Please be at the Cross 5 to 10 minutes before the scheduled start.
Please note that this tour includes going up and down steep steps on the Rows. It is about 1/2 a mile in overall length and ends on Lower Bridge Street.
