What can the front of Bishop Lloyd's Palace tell us?

Time and Location
28 Jun 2023, 14:00
Bishop Lloyd's Palace, 51-53 Watergate Row South, Chester CH1 2LE
About the Event
There is no documentary evidence about Bishop Lloyd's Palace until 1661 and written evidence afterwards is sparse. This talk by Karen McKay of Chester Civic Trust, will focus on what we can learn from the building itself.
Tickets cost £5
Proceeds will help fund a photographic project undertaken by Martyn Rowland of Skysnapper Aerial Photography and Film to photograph the carvings on the attic floor of Bishop Lloyd's Palace. These photographs will be the clearest view we have had of the carvings for over four hundred years and be presented during the talk.
Refreshments will be served following this one-hour talk. Please note the venue is accessed from Watergate Row and then via a flight of stairs.
