About the Event

“Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Chester's Safety Secured! The year is 1645, and our great city stands firm against those who would see it fall.

As war rages across England, Chester remains a stronghold of loyalty and order. These are perilous times, and the shadow of war looms large.  But fear not, for the City Watch of Chester stands vigilant against all threats, both within and without our ancient walls!

WE, YOUR LOYAL CITY WATCH, are sworn to protect your homes, your families, and your livelihoods.  Day and night, through storm and strife, we patrol the streets, ensuring order and quelling disturbances.”

This is an exciting city centre reenactment, follow the City Watch as the parade through the city stopping for displays along the way. Timings are approximate and subject to change on the day. We welcome you to join us on the parade, or meet us in the display spots along the way.
