Discover Deva with a Roman Soldier.
Be transported back nearly 2000 years, when Chester was the largest Roman fortress, Deva Victrix, in Britain. Your journey led by an authentic Roman Soldier will be factual and fun, give an insight into life in Roman Britain, and may surprise you as you learn the extent of Chester’s Roman Heritage.
You will, of course, visit the amphitheatre, again the largest in Britain.
The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and leaves the Visitor Information Centre in Town Hall Square every day at 12:00 and again at 14:30.
Tickets: those aged 5 -11 £5, aged 12-17 £7.50, aged 18 - 60 £9.50, aged 60+ £7.50 and families (2 adults + 2 children) £27; advance booking is recommended and is available here.
